When I find interesting is that there is plenty of precedent in the UK, where the story is based so everything is in pounds not dollars, that makes it the responsibility of the broadcaster/streamer to prevent piracy. It will be interesting to dig deeper and find out exactly what laws were broken, what laws were invented specifically for this case, and how previous case law and legislation was applied.

I have to laugh! You are Illegally streaming content THROUGH your ISP (internet service provider) and you wonder WHY you are getting caught? Even with a VPN you leave enough bread-crumbs to be tracked and indeed get busted! Most do NOT realize what a VPN is all about and you can STILL be tracked until an "established" connection is created because EVERYTHING you search is in the OPEN and tracked! A "VPN" is NO invisibility shield like so many believe and are fooled into a FALSE sense of security they boast! The Internet just NOT work that way!! Yes! ONCE connected to a "site" that you searched for in the TOTAL open A VPN will then mask your activity and mask your "activity" once established and only THEN becomes encrypted! Your ISP can still track your locations before encryption takes place.

I think specs vs actual performance for non gamers with films, which I think is the vast majority of users. I use it for all of my streaming services. The audio codec for Bluetooth goes up to LDAC (the best) and I have the FIRST version. It's absolutely peerless & they are probably not making another... the prices have gone absolutely bonkers because of this. I think this is an absolutely dreadful & uninformed call.

A few comments... 1.) They're pounds not dollars which is even worse. 2.) Recent headlines about companies like UA-cam banning accounts for youtube premium if the user is using a VPN with a foreign IP address to get the lower subscription price. 3.) What else would you expect from a country that makes you license your TV set. Lots of things going for that country but I mean, TV license. Bruh, cmon.

What's a VPN?

When the fire stick is turned on it immediately goes to the sign-in page since I already have an account but the remote will not respond to fill in the info. Yes I have checked the batteries and I have two fire sticks and neither one of them will work and are both stuck in this mode. Was there an update or something that suddenly made both units not work ? Everything I've read so far tells me to do things that are not an option when it is stuck as it is now.

I believe Nvidia is done with these type products by the lack of new OS's well over a year...fortunate this is still one of the best

The new price plans are bad, not only are all plans overly priced, but this year round its way more ads per series & per movie (just watched Evil Dead Rise I probably saw 100 ads whereas last year there was 3 or 4 ads in the beginning of any given HBO show or movie & then that was it subscribers were able to watch the remaining show or movie ad free).

No one is talking about it but Apollo TV group has a great deals on plans.

For the last couple of nights netflix wouldn't let me sign in and said I had to update the app, which I did and I've only found out about the ads today; for that kind of dishonesty, I just won't pay for them again. I only watch an old comedy show on it when I'm going to sleep because it helps me sleep

It's still the top dog. All of the ones that seem like they can compete, so far, really don't. But feel free to buy some off-brand garbage, that has no future support. They're only $200, and I've been using two of them for a long time. They make any Fire TV device look like a toy.
